About No Deeper Blue
Welcome to my corner of visual storytelling. I'm Joshua Jennings, a photographer whose journey through life has been shaped by the rugged landscapes of North Idaho, the serene beauty of Northern California, and the captivating shores of the Oregon coast.
Growing up in a small mountain town, I deeply revered the natural world surrounding me. From the towering pines to the rushing waters of the Clearwater River, nature was not just a backdrop but an essential part of my existence. It's from these early experiences that my passion for photography first took root.
I remember clutching my parents' Olympus film camera on the banks of the Clearwater River, eagerly awaiting the next passing Osprey. Photography wasn't just about capturing moments; it was a way to connect with the world around me and preserve the memories that shaped my life.
In 2016, after a traumatic brain injury, I found myself drawn to the Oregon coast. During this period of introspection and healing, I acquired my first fully manual camera. With each click of the shutter, I began to transition from capturing mere memories to expressing my emotions and experiences through imagery.
Through my lens, I strive to convey the raw beauty and emotional depth of the world around us. Each photograph is a reflection of the moments, feelings, and stories that have shaped my journey. I invite you to explore my portfolio and hope that my images resonate with you on a deeper level.
